Each year, the touring ski market serves up options that sacrifice performance and durability in favor of weight savings. For skiers who demand a quality ride on both the up and the down, but still need skis that will take all the abuse the backcountry can dish out, we present the updated Steeple Series. The Steeple 116 is our newest offering - based upon the chassis of our Billy Goat. For those wanting to access your own powder stash, the Steeple 116 features our Tour Layup and skin clip tail, while the RES design ensures backcountry performance is second to none. We’ve also borrowed ATT (Asymmetrical Tip Taper) from the new Billy Goat to allow the tips & tails of the Steeple 116 to smear in and out of turns with greater ease.
Larger tip rocker combined with a shorter, lower tail rocker and camber underfoot. Great for driving the ski while maintaining the stability needed to remain confident at speed.
Reverse Elliptical Sidecut
RES is a large, convex elliptical arc that runs from boot center to tip taper, combined with a long, traditional radius in the tail. The goal is simple: create the best soft snow sidecut and shape available.
Solid platform underfoot, slightly stiffer tail, with a progressive flex into the tips. Similar to our Freeride Flex, but with a rounder platform designed for improved float and maneuverability in softer conditions.
